Senior Companion and Foster Grandparent Information Session

The Niagara Falls Wal-Mart recently awarded $1,000 to the Health Association of Niagara County Inc. (HANCI) for its annual Niagara County Senior Prom.

The Health Association of Niagara County Inc. (HANCI), 
a not-for-profit community organization, provides caring, proactive, diversified programs and services that promote independence and a healthy lifestyle across generations.
HANCI has been serving Lewiston, Niagara Falls, North Tonawanda, Lockport, Youngstown, Ransomville, Wheatfield, Sanborn, Pendleton and the Town of Niagara for 80 years, providing senior services, health services, children and youth services, and intergenerational services.
At its Annual Meeting and Luncheon on May 16, the Health Association of Niagara County Inc. distributed several awards.
The President’s Award for Distinguished Service was presented to longtime HANCI board member Joseph Petrozzi, president of Capitol Cleaners. The John R. Oishei Foundation received the Outstanding Sponsor Award. Judith Maness, president and chief executive officer of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital & Health Center, accepted the Outstanding Partner Award. Colleen Vesci and her late husband, Pat Vesci, were honored with the Heart of HANCI Award for their accomplishments and volunteer commitment to HANCI. Terese Melcher received the Karen Albond Courage in Caring Award.
